The Community Foundation of Middle TN Headquarters

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee has served as a leader in philanthropy for 30 years, bringing “good people and good causes together” in 43 counties in Middle Tennessee and Kentucky. In 2021, the Foundation embarked on construction for a new headquarters—a sustainable, modern, two-story building.

Maxwell Roofing was honored to be selected by Skanska, the project’s general contractor, to provide the roofing solution for this iconic building. Our deep-rooted commitment to the Middle Tennessee community and our proven ability to navigate the complex challenges of the roofing industry, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, made us the ideal partner for this project.

A Roof that Supports an Inspiring Mission

The new headquarters of the Community Foundation was designed to be “a hive of activity,” promoting the cross-pollination of ideas and fostering collaboration. To align with these principles, the building required a roofing solution that was not only sustainable and energy-efficient but also visually cohesive and durable.

After careful consideration and collaboration with the Community Foundation, we recommended a Dutch seam metal roof with an adhered TPO underlayment. The clean, uniform appearance of the roof also contributes to the building’s modern aesthetic, creating a visually appealing and harmonious exterior.

Building Through Adversity

Construction of the Community Foundation headquarters began in 2021, a time when the roofing industry was facing unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Material shortages and price fluctuations were putting immense pressure on project timelines across the region. However, the Maxwell team remained steadfast in our commitment to delivering an exceptional project. Through proactive planning, efficient installation, and a relentless focus on overcoming obstacles, we were able to complete the project on schedule and within budget.

Maxwell Roofing is proud to have contributed to the creation of such an inspiring space for the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. We believe that our work on this project is more than just a roofing job; it’s a testament to our dedication to building strong communities through quality craftsmanship and exceptional service.

“We’re grateful for the commitment and diligence that Maxwell showed during the project. They truly cared about the work and went the extra mile to keep things moving despite numerous challenges.”
